Delian Evrev, MD
Specialist in Cardio-vascular Surgery
Dr. Delian Evrev has over 15 years of experience. Since 2009 he has been a full-time Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski". In 2013 he acquired a professional qualification in Ultrasound Vascular Diagnostics. In 2016 he completed her second Master's degree in Healthcare Management with the defense of his thesis in the field of liver transplantation in the country. Dr. Evrev has also gained experience in international hospitals, such as Hannover Medical School in Germany, where he actively trained in the field of lung transplantation. He is a Ph.D. student in cardiac surgery with the topic of his thesis "Perioperative ultrasound evaluation of thoracic interna artery and saphena magna vein when used for grafts in cardiac surgery".
Dr. Evrev participated in a number of national and international congresses on cardiac surgery, vascular surgery and transplantology in Bulgaria and abroad. He is a member of the Bulgarian Association for Thoracic, Cardiac and Vascular Surgery, the National Organization of Angiology and Phlebology, the Bulgarian Society of Cardiology, the Bulgarian Society of Transplantology (BST), the Bulgarian National Society of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery and Angiology. His scientific interests are in the field of ultrasound diagnosis of arterial and venous diseases; application of modern minimally invasive methods for treatment of varicose veins; diagnosis, prevention and treatment of cardiac and vascular diseases. He is fluent in English and French.
